under the General Competition Rules (GCR’s) and Standing
Supplementary Regulations (SSR’s) of Motorsport South Africa
(MSA), these Supplementary Regulations (SR’s) and final
instructions which may be issued to competitors and any relevant
MSA Circulars of 2019, which will take precedence to these SR’s.

These

reusable and will remain the property of the competitors.

Under
no circumstances will competitors or helpers be allowed to ride
their machines once they have completed the event. Failure to
adhere to this will result in exclusion from the event. This will
be dealt with in an extremely strict manner.

50 years and over need to first submit their STRESS ECG to MSA for
approval, before they can apply for a 2019 licence.

A
rider must be mobile with his motorcycle and cross the finish line
in order for the lap to

counted.

It
is a condition of entry that every pit has an acceptable
Environmental mat and Fire Extinguisher of 2.5 kg’s (Min)

GPS

Refer
to point 10 of the KZN Regional Enduro SSR’s, and Art 2 c)
of the 2019 SA National Enduro SSR’s.

c)
The
use of GPS,
which
has to be mounted firmly on the competitor’s race bike so
that it is visible at all times (carrying of GPS’s in
hydration packs and/or waist packs etc. is not permitted)
,
is compulsory for all national classes. Any manufacture of GPS
will be allowed at any Enduro event, however it will only be
possible to upload/download tracks to Garmin units. Competitors
making use of non-Garmin units or non USB connections
must
to
supply cabling so that organisers can communicate with their GPS.
Competitors are responsible for ensuring race officials can
receive a complete data log of their day’s event up until
the results are final – Refer ART. 39 a) (vi).
The
onus rests with the competitor to ensure that ALL route / track /
waypoint / track log data stored on his/her GPS is cleared prior
to the start of the race in question. GPS’s that are
downloaded and have more than just the race in question’s
track log on it, and that force organisers into searching for the
race in questions track log data, will not be considered as
empirical evidence of route compliance in the event of a dispute,
and will be treated as if the competitor had not complied with ART
2 c) of these SSR’s and not ridden with a GPS.

d)
Organisers will download at least 5 units per event, at random,
directly after the riders complete the event, and any other should
there be a query

TIME
BARS:

15h00
or once the lead rider has completed the required number of laps.
The time bar is at the discretion of the COC

ROUTE/EVENT
DESCRIPTION:

Refer
to point 7 of the
KZN
Regional Enduro SSR’s and Art 28 and 37 in the 2019 SA
National Enduro SSR’s.

The
COC will decide upon the number of laps to be ridden. Time back
for “Pro/Signature sections” of the route completed
will be at the discretion of the COC and these decisions will be
conveyed to the riders at riders briefing and on the event notice
board.

The
organisers may on the day decide to make the first lap an untimed
lap that does not count to the overall result (sighting lap).
This has become necessary due to the terrain that the WFO course
is set on to ensure that the COC can make the correct decision
with regards to the number of laps required across all the
classes.

FINISH
AND ROUTE CHECK CONTROL CARDS:

These
are to be handed in with your Event Evaluation Form.

Please
refer to Art 33 and 36 of the 2019 MSA SA National Enduro SSR’s.
A missed check point will result in a time penalty to be
determined by the COC. 3 missed check points on a lap will result
in a 1 lap penalty, this may be varied at the discretion of the
COC.

SWEEPS
AND RECOVERY:

Sweepers
go out after cut off.

Recovery
is the responsibility of the rider

RESULTS:

to Art 42 of the 2019 MSA SA National Enduro SSR’s.

Provisional
results to be posted as soon as they are ready

TROPHIES
/ AWARDS:

Awards
will be made to the riders placed first to third in their
respective classes,
Note:
All awards will be distributed at prize giving. Any competitor
who is not present shall forfeit all such awards – Refer GCR
280 (iii), and Art 6 of the 2019 SA National Enduro SSR’s.

SPECTATOR
/ SERVICE GUIDES:

RETIREMENT
AND INCIDENT REPORT FORMS:

Failure
to hand in an Event Evaluation Form as soon as finishing the race,
but latest within 30 minutes of respective time bars or as soon as
arriving back at racing control will be a Non Finishers Result. If
unable to do so, due to being stuck / injured on the route,
competitors should phone the COC in the interim.

REFRESHMENTS:

Limited
refreshments will be sold at the Pits.

Refreshments
and a Restaurant will be available at

THE
TRAVELLER’S REST GUEST HOUSE on Friday and Saturday night at
Registration and Prize Giving.

POSTPONEMENT,
ABANDONMENT OR CANCELLATION:

The
Organisers reserve the right to cancel the event if less than 100
entries have been received by the closing date
.

The
Organisers reserve the right to postpone, abandon or cancel the
meeting or any part thereof. In the event of any of the above, the
Competitor/Entrant has no right to claim against the
Promoter/Organiser in respect of any loss or damage he/she may
incur, other than that specified in GCR 244. The meeting will not
be postponed, abandoned or cancelled without the consent of the
Clerk of Course
in
accordance with GCR 152.

ADVERTISING:

It
is condition of entry that in addition to the advertising referred
to in GCR 246, competing motorcycles shall also display the
advertising, if any, as stipulated in the Championship and
specifications for the class for which the motorcycle is entered.

POINTS:

Points
will be scored as per Art 7 in the
2019
MSA SA National Enduro SSR’s.

17. PROTESTS:

All
protests and appeals will be dealt with as set out in GCR Appendix
R, Parts IX and X.

18. RIGHTS
OF THE CLERK OF COURSE:

The
Clerk of the Course and/or the Stewarts of the Meeting have the
right to call a halt to an event due to “force majeure”
for any of the following, but not limited to, reasons:

i) Extreme
weather conditions

ii) Serious
or fatal accident

iii) Sections
of the route being deemed impassable owing to recent extreme
weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

iv) Dangerous
circumstances for riders involving spectators or bystanders.

v) Any
other circumstances which the Clerk of the Course, in his sole
discretion, deems to be dangerous or prejudicial to competitors.

19. CROSSING
OF PUBLIC /DISTRICT ROADS:

As
the organizer we have fully acquainted ourselves with Art 20 of
the
2019
MSA SA National Enduro SSR’s.
We
the organizers are also aware and have acquainted ourselves with
the provisions of Section 317 of the Road Traffic Act and confirm
that the event officials have been made aware of the above
section. By allowing the event to proceed we accept that all
requirements are complied with and where applicable all relevant
permissions are in place
.

20. GENERAL:

Safety
Plan for the event will be available from the Race Secretary, as
per the requirements of the Safety & Recreation Act 2 of 2010.
Written permissions and Police Clearance Certificate will also be
with the race secretary.

Every
pit is required to have a Fire Extinguisher of at least 2.5kg
capacity.

Every
rider is required to use an Environmental Mat when refuelling

Failure
to meet these requirements will result in a fine being imposed

Refuse
Bags will be available at The Registration Table

Riders
are expected to take their refuse bags with them when leaving

Riders
to carry rope
,
whistle,
cell phone, Minor Repair Kit, Water, Nutrition and Sun Block.

Helmets
are to be worn at all times by any person on a motorcycle that
has its engine running.
